MEET THE TEAM

Our Team

Julia May
Director of Campus
Operations & Engagement

What do you do at Thompson’s Point?
A little bit of everything. Most of my work is making certain that our guest and neighbor experience here on campus is a great one whether that be swinging down to one of our ever growing lineup of community events, hiking through on the Portland Trails system, or biking down to a State Theatre show.

What do you like to do outside of work?
Chipping away at my house, transplanting gardens, digging in the dirt, starting projects and sometimes finishing them!

Any pets?
A gaggle of rescues. I have a cat, Kona. A terrier, Harriet and a schnauzer, Stevie. Fun fact, Stevie was a 2023 Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland Puppy Bowl Puppy!

What brings the most value to your work at Thompson’s Point?
Being able to watch this small team, who are deeply passionate about Portland, accomplish so much is certainly my most valued takeaway. It’s been an honor to watch them transform a piece of forgotten land into a bona fide hub for arts, culture and community fellowship.

What’s one thing everyone should know about you?
You can usually catch me one of three places around the city. At Thompson’s Point, at a Portland Seadogs Game(I mean “Red Snappahs”), or at Ruskies!

Kellie Kerrigan
Director of Event Development & Sponsorship

What do you do at Thompson’s Point?
I work closely with our wonderful clients, whether it be a wedding, graduation or special occasion, and help them execute it start to finish. (Editor’s Note: Captain of the team. Have you been to a fun event at Thompson’s Point? You can thank Kellie Kerrigan, and by thank, I mean buy her a BBB Swish, her drink of choice!)

What do you like to do outside of work?
You can typically find me outside when I am not working, whether it be out hiking, exploring Maine, enjoying an outdoor concert, or relaxing on a patio with a margarita in hand.

Any pets?
Not right now but planning on it!

What brings the most value to your work at Thompson’s Point?
The atmosphere and team. The people that I get to work with everyday makes working at Thompson’s Point that much more enjoyable. It’s a small team so we get to work side-by-side to create amazing experiences for the community.

What’s one thing everyone should know about you?
I am not a “real Mainer”. I moved up to Maine from Massachusetts a few years ago to start my journey in this amazing state!

What do you do at Thompson’s Point?
As a Facilities Supervisor, I oversee the grounds and facilities and help coordinate events and gatherings.

What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy fishing, carving fish, mountain biking and family time. (Editors note: That’s right, it’s the whale guy. Jon’s incredible artwork can be found on Instagram: @j.s.woodfish or at most Maker’s Markets!)

Any pets?
We have a pet cat, Dirty Gerty.

What brings the most value to your work at Thompson’s Point?
Being a part of the atmosphere and the growth of a pretty amazing place.

Outside of work I like to spend time with my family, go exploring out on the Portland Trails with my chocolate lab, Lenny, and play/write/record music. I am also a massive fan of football a.k.a. soccer a.k.a. the most beautiful game. I enjoy coaching, playing and watching soccer whenever I can!
